Why Rendergate

Before we started to launch our own render farm, we mainly produced animations in the construction field. As time went on, these projects became more ambitious and the deadlines got shorter, until our render times for one project took a whole 200 hours. We luckily had a few computers and laptops left over and were able to get through the whole thing in half a week, but we were effectively incapacitated for that half week. After this project we came to the conclusion that we needed a better solution. That was the start of Rendergate.
Our first implementation was far less user friendly than we have now, starting a job took about 5 different steps before it could even start and often I had forgotten to include any textures so I had to render the scene twice. But even with this cumbersome system we could work much more flexible than before. We could now start projects that would have otherwise taken several months to render.
We also came up with some of the features that will make rendering easier for you today. This starts with the fact that you can adjust the render settings even after uploading to the helpful warnings that we show. It has happened to me many times that I accidentally set a lower resolution to save time when animating and had to re-render the animation completely. But even more often it happened to me that I forgot to put some textures into the file.
Fortunately, with the new version there are no more such problems. You can still adjust the most important settings after uploading and you will also be informed if you forgot to upload any files, which will hopefully save you from expensive mistakes.
If this has aroused your interest, you can easily try us out. Just upload a file and get the price and time, you don’t even need to register.
